Thursday was a day filled with meetings, sales, papers, and special events for the Zondervan Academic team. Here are a few snapshots of what we were up to:
Our annual author breakfast: this is a fun event we host every year at ETS. It's a great time to catch up and swap stories. (Can you name the authors pictured below? :-)
Four Views on Moving Beyond the Bible to Theology sale. The book was available for only 8 bucks in preparation for Friday's panel discussion featuring: Walt Kaiser, Daniel Doriani, Kevin Vanhoozer, William Webb, Mark Strauss, Al Wolters, and Gary Meadors.
Other highlights from Thursday:
- John Oswalt's paper, "A Summary of The Bible Among the Myths"
- Daniel Block's paper, "An Evaluation of New Works by Oswalt and Niehaus"
- Philip Payne's paper, "Codex Vaticanus Distigmai as Evidence that 1 Cor. 14:34-35 is an Interpolation" (See his Koinonia post on the same topic here.)
- Plenary Session with Scott B. Rae, "On the Intersection of Faith, Economics, and Social Ethics"
